I've done them twice and burned lots of prayer pots and food for very little reward. It's true you cannot block all of their attacks, but by praying range you won't even need food because of the obscene amount of gnome foods they drop. Please explain to me how they don't have good drops if you profit while cannoning, how they have rubbish XP if they are one of the fastest tasks with a cannon. They also come up to 50k+ slay xp/hour if you cannon. While cannoning these using a combat familiar I can return PROFIT covering both the prayer pots, super sets, and the cannonballs. But warped terrorbirds, you talk as if you have never even done a task. The first two are true, at least before 88 summoning. Slaying is one of the funnest skills, just dont force yourself to grind on hated tasks just for a bit of added efficiency. I would reccomend blocking what YOU hate, and what YOU dont enjoy. drop granite legs reasonably, and ive gotten a visage. best crimson charm dropper+black mask = great exp/charms Never had goraks, but id probly skip them if i did. I try to do mostly crimson tasks, unless its dags which i cannon Kalphites - hate em though I will kill kq occasionally for funįire giants - pretty good exp, but mainly gold dropper. Iron drags - slow exp, not very good drops imoīlack demons - good task, I just find it to boring to handle Plus you're almost guaranteed a clue scroll which could lead to 3rd age!īlack dragons - I dont like killing babies either The drops are poor yes, but your not spending a lot on the task and getting 80+ golds. Yes sometimes it's crowded but bring a cannon along to scare people off then melee again. They are great melee XP and with super def/Bunyip you whizz through without getting hit much. The safe spot requires 20 mins to use whilst they go non-aggro and the charms are not worth it if it's slayer XP you want. Warped Terrorbirds are supposedly annoying to kill because you have to use a chime and a lot of people dont prefer them but you usually make back the money you spend on prayer pots. Steel dragons do take a long time and theres not a lot of spawns like iron dragons so I agree with you there. Skeletal Wyverns drop 2 crimson charms at a time and pretty often, not too hard to kill and there's a safespot when they arent aggressive. My fourth is empty currently as all other tasks are bearable. Warped Terrobirds - No good drops, rubbish XP and no way to block all attacks. Steel Dragons - Few spawns and you have to fight other players and Iron Dragons for them. Skelly Wyverns - Annoying to get to and kill. Non-orthodox – and, in particular, recalcitrant – seed behaviour is not merely a matter of desiccation sensitivity: the primary basis is that the seeds are actively metabolic when they are shed, in contrast to orthodox types which are quiescent. However, recent evidence suggests that provenance is a pivotal factor in determining the degree of recalcitrant behaviour exhibited by seeds of individual species. Appreciation of the phenomenon of recalcitrance is confounded by intra- and interseasonal variability across species, as well as within individual species. Scope Whatever the post-harvest responses of seeds of individual species may be, they are the outcome of the properties of pre-shedding development, and a full understanding of the subtleties of various degrees of non-orthodox behaviour must await the identification of, and interaction among, all the factors conferring extreme orthodoxy. As the characteristics of seeds of an increasing number of species are elucidated, non-orthodox seed behaviour is emerging as considerably more commonplace – and its basis far more complex – than previously suspected. Between these extremes, however, there may be a gradation of the responses to dehydration – and also to other factors – suggesting perhaps that seed behaviour might be best considered as constituting a continuum subtended by extreme orthodoxy and the highest degree of recalcitrance. PMID:28622366įrom Avicennia to Zizania: Seed Recalcitrance in Perspectiveīackground Considered only in terms of tolerance of, or sensitivity to, desiccation (which is an oversimplification), orthodox seeds are those which tolerate dehydration and are storable in this condition, while highly recalcitrant seeds are damaged by loss of only a small proportion of water and are unstorable for practical purposes. ![]() drying), may serve to maintain decomposition rates of recalcitrant C compared to non- recalcitrant C despite negative effects on overall decomposition. Consistent with this pattern, potential activities of enzymes targeting recalcitrant C increased with warming, relative to those targeting non- recalcitrant C. Specifically, after one year of decomposition, the ratio of recalcitrant C to non- recalcitrant C remaining in litter declined in the warmed plots compared to control. We found that these C fractions responded differently to warming. non- recalcitrant C (cellulose, hemicellulose, and sugars) throughout 16 months. Right now I'm dealing with a client who just lost several large. If you have an example, we would love to hear it so we can work on it. So far we've had trouble finding these examples of files that are ONLY possible to copy through VSS and not possible using our other techniques. So Backblaze isn't opposed to VSS, it's just a matter of finding the programming time to figure out how to use it and possibly how to auto-configure it for customers, and to find at least 1 example where the other 12 techniques we have to copy a file won't work. But more and more we have lots of extra programmers, and we can possibly write the code that if we are running on Windows, and if a normal file copy fails we could also try to figure out how to turn on VSS for the customer, configure it correctly for the customer, and make a copy of the file that way. Now BEFORE this year, we were so busy and had so few client programmers at Backblaze it wasn't worth considering. And won't work on many file systems we see on PCs. We just want to keep them safe, with zero configuration.Īll fixes we do related to VSS won't work on Macintosh. We live in the consumer world, and that is a world where the consumer doesn't setup every last thing to work correctly with Backblaze. Since we have to solve the IDENTICAL PROBLEMS on file systems without VSS, we try to do it some more general way, then get more specific if the general system didn't work. So no matter what, Backblaze has to deal with the problems of what happens on say Apple Extended Filesystem. So why didn't we ONLY support systems with VSS from the beginning? Ok, so VSS is not always available on all systems and all file systems. But Backblaze could take over figuring out how to configure VSS and make it appear easy and simple to customers. VSS is really hard to understand and use, so it isn't clearly inside of our charter. Our goals are simple: make a backup without requiring the customer to configure anything. We are not opposed to using VSS or any other technology. Backblaze uses tons of technologies, which ever is required or appropriate in each situation. Longer Answer: VSS (Volume Shadow Service Copy Support) is a technology, not an answer or the only solution to whether you can copy files or not. ![]() ![]() Short Answer: no current plans to support VSS, but it is probably a good corner optimization for maybe 1 file out of billions of customers' files that there is no other way to make copies, and you might see it within 2 years. But here is the situation with VSS on Backblaze Backup: ![]() Plus the nagging worry everybody will have (Backblaze included) that Microsoft will cancel VSS as a supported technology and we'll have to scramble for some other solution anyway.Īny roadmap to solve this issue - or do need to stick it out with CrashplanĬrashPlan is a great service, it's not so bad to stick with them. Which I think everybody would prefer considering the massive difficulties and complexity and possible performance hit VSS introduces. So we MIGHT (no promises) be able to achieve a backup for you without using VSS. It turns out there are a variety of different techniques to read locked files, VSS is not the only one. You can post the full paths here, or PM me, or just open a support ticket if you want to keep the list private (and that's TOTALLY understandable and we'll keep that confidential). We would love to hear about which files those are. Disclaimer: I work at Backblaze on the Backblaze Backup product line.įiles that are open 95% of the time so backup will likely never work If you don't like the music that is being produced by the band now, move along to something else the world WILL go on if you don't leave your expert opinions based upon how many shows you have seen in the past or even if you were there when Jerry's mom gave birth to him. God the 95 RFK show was the worst recording I've ever heard! Can't we all agree that we love "THIS" music and that sound board quality recordings are better than an audience recording (musically speaking that is).One of my favorite recordings happens to be 9-28-75, not just because of the music but because of the ongoing stuff about a baby being born. It's not about whether you were there or the security at the venue, if they played your favorite song or whether they are the band you remember from previous shows or how high you were! Let's face it there are some recordings of the Grateful Dead that are God awful and should be rated as such. What I have found was that the band became "different" for better or worse depending on who you ask but who is asking "YOU"?!?! I've got an idea how about judging this show for the recording and the set-list that's probably why this rating system is here, is it not. I love the Grateful Dead in all their incarnations and lets face it even the 1995 Jerry wasn't the Jerry I fell in love with years before. It seems that every other show has someone complaining about the show or who sings this song or that song or comparing the Dead to the Grateful Dead. |
